⚡ PROGRAMME DETAILS

The Robot Olympics trial lesson is an interactive coding challenge where students guide a robot actor through four levels, each building on the last. The stage and characters are already prepared so students can focus on coding.

PROGRAMME OUTLINE AND KEY LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Level 1: Students learn how to change the robot’s size and position on the stage and make it run.

Level 2: Students add a jump mechanic using the up arrow, ensuring the robot can leap over obstacles without jumping while running.

Level 3: Students create a sliding mechanic with the down arrow, using if…then conditions to make sure the robot is not running or jumping while sliding.

Level 4: Students adjust the settings for game speed, jump speed, and slide speed, then try the game to see how well they can score.

By the end of the lesson, students experience building a simple interactive game while practicing simple coding concepts.
