The September holidays are here! It is a good opportunity to spend more time with your family and friends. There are many things you can do in Singapore and here are some of them.
Cycling
Park connectors are located everywhere near our neighbourhoods and they are easily accessible. Cycling along the park connectors can bring you to places you have never gone to before! You will be able to see picturesque reservoirs, rivers and sceneries. Also, you can try out the Coast-to-Coast Trail that is a 36 km trail which stretches from Jurong Lake Gardens in the west to Coney Island Park in the northeast! It will take you through a wide myriad of parks, nature areas and places of interest where you can unwind and enjoy nature with your family or friends.
Hiking
Hiking in the nature reserves such as Bukit Timah Nature Reserve or MacRitchie Reservoir can give you a chance to slow down and connect with nature. Going on long walks allows you to appreciate nature and spend time away from city life for a while, absorbing in what nature has to offer before heading back to our fast-paced lives.
Visit museums
Museums nowadays have fun and engaging activities for visitors to enjoy. Singapore has museums such as the National Museum of Singapore, ArtScience Museum and the Museum of Ice Cream.
Firstly, the National Museum of Singapore has different exhibitions for you to enjoy! Exhibitions such as ‘An Old New World: Digital Edition’ and ‘Every Body Plays a Part: A Showcase of Public Health Crisis and Responses in Singapore’. These are some new concept exhibitions for you to learn and enjoy with your loved ones. You can indulge in learning about the digital world in the past or how the COVID pandemic had affected us.
Secondly, the ArtScience Museum offers pretty exhibitions for you to enjoy! Exhibitions such as ‘Future World: Where Art Meets Science’ allow you to immerse yourself in a world of art, science and magic through their digital interactive installation. Additionally, there is also a ‘Mini Holiday Camp: Bucky in Space!’ for you to make 3-D models, concurrently, developing your creativity and motor skills.
Lastly, the Museum of Ice Cream is quite popular now and you can eat as many ice cream treats as you want there, learn about ice cream and its history across 14 multi-sensory installations and also play in their sprinkle pool!
Organise a beach clean-up
If you wish to do something meaningful this holiday, there are regular beach clean-ups held by Trash Hero (you can check their Facebook). Subsequently, you can create your own group to do a beach clean-up. Simply by bringing your own gloves, a big trash bag and tongs to pick up any rubbish you see along the way in a park.
Attending our Intensive Coaching Workshop
Lastly, if you wish to catch up with your studies, we have our own Intensive Coaching Workshop that is starting soon. This workshop is suitable for Upper Primary school students and we cover both Mathematics and Science.
If you are interested, it is still not too late to sign up for it! You can get more information by going to our website at www.curiousmindz/icw2022 or dropping us a message at 87870212.
We hope this list has given you some ideas of what you can do this holiday! Have fun and stay safe!
